Tommy is a super-hero in the flesh and this is his story. He has to face many challenges and obstacles before becoming “big”. Super Tommy acquires and strengthens his powers of autonomy, thanks to the training and the help of the community that surrounds him. Poop, pee, dindins, beddy-byes: each skill has some spatio-temporal sequences to play with. The images are easy to understand, simple and in sequence, and help to facilitate the interaction between the child and the adult reading the book. This is a picture book to browse horizontally, with some vertical surprises, which plays on the change of perspective from small to big (child to grown-up). This book wants to help children learn through play where their story started and how it is evolving.
